CHDK at conference

Demonstrated my application using CHDK-powered elph160's at a conference for public officials responsible for hazard and risk management.  System was seen as interesting and useful by those who stopped by the booth.  CHDK and cameras performed flawlessly.

Thanks to all who develop CHDK.

Need more details or a video of the conference!
The name ShahJahan comes from Persian, where Shah means King and Jahan means World,
so the name ShahJahan in its literal sense means King of the World.

Actually,  I'd be more interested in any details about the application and how CHDK was used.

Thanks for the feedback.  Conference was for public officials concerned with risk management, emergency management, and first response.  No videos or dynamic content from the conference, sorry.

Application for this conference was intended to speak about hazardous conditions monitoring, with the capability to perform simple actions remotely, if desired.

System is a network of remote sensing devices.  Devices report their observations to cloud servers, where data is aggregated and presented to users via web pages.  Devices can also perform simple actions locally - automatically, or by ad-hoc command.

Observations include typical weather measurement parameters, images and videos obtained from cameras powered by CHDK/chdkptp, along with data from other public and private sources.

Simple actions being things like "illuminate the warning sign", "raise the road barrier," "broadcast a txt message to this list of numbers", "turn off the irrigation pump", and so on.

CHDK was also mentioned in an experimental / research context.

The intent would be to apply our CHDK cameras with the "lightning observation / detection" scripts capability, and apply those results with an existing (private) lightning locating data source, to attempt to identify those strike events more likely to cause fires.   End result would hopefully be better quality information for forest fire hazard management.  Imagine cameras on fire lookout towers, cameras that can be activated remotely.
