Disable raw in Sports Mode on SX50?

My version (4478) of CHDK for my sx50hs doesn't seem to include the option to disable raw in Sports Mode.
I previously had 4319 running, without the option, but recently saw in the 1.4 User Manual that it exists, so I upgraded to 4478 thinking that would do it - but it's till not on the menu! So I'm wondering, am I missing something? How can I get access to it? (Or if I can't, is there a reason?)

(I tried the search tool, but didn't come up with any relevant thread. If there is one, I'd be happy to be referred to it.)

That feature is only enabled for three cameras - the S3, SX30, and SX40.

No idea if it will work for the SX50 - I guess I could try it on mine and see?

Seems to work fine. I posted a patch file - if it's accepted then it should show up in the autobuild in the next day or so.

I have no idea why it was not part of the original port. Perhaps someone else will chime in on that.

Checked this in, will be in autobuild 4562 and later. I'd guess it wasn't enabled before because the person who did the port wasn't aware of the feature.

I wonder why it's not enabled for more cameras?. Worst case is that it does nothing when enabled. Or maybe it disables RAW in the wrong mode if enabled?

I think it's mostly people not being aware that it even exists. If the modemap is right it shouldn't hurt, but someone created an ifdef to avoid a confusing menu option and save a tiny bit of memory.

Ideally we'd just add the menu option if the camera has MODE_SPORTS I don't think there's an easy way to do that in the current system.

Also, some cameras don't shoot valid raw at all in sports, they should define CAM_DISABLE_RAW_IN_SPORTS instead.

Wow. I just checked back and saw it should be up soon, went to the downloads and found it was already there, downloaded it, tested it (enabled and disabled) - and was delighted to see that it worked perfectly!
