Trouble setting shutter speed -- Using Ixus 220 HS

I've decided to give CHDK a go for the ability to use scripts like the intervalometer, which work without issues for me.
I wanted to try the Enhanced Photo Operations, to manually set the shutter speed, but I just haven't been able to get it to work. The screen I see is nearly the same as this one:
http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/chdk/images/b/b9/Enhanced_menu_v2.png/revision/latest?cb=20130629170931
Except it doesn't have the "Over ride Av" option, and there is an "ONLY in video" option on a new line for Manual Flash Power. The camera is using the 101e firmware, if thats relevant.

Disable overides is set to No, and I've tried using both Ev Step and LongExp as the Override TV type, but can't get anything to work (the info in the pictures show shutter speeds of 1/30 1/60 etc.). I haven't tested the other options, so I can't say if they work, except the Manual flash + Power, which worked fine (tried both min and med).#

Any ideas?

The "Override Av" option only appears if your camera has an adjustable aperture.

When testing Tv overrides, don't trust the Canon information on the screen.  Take some shots and see if the exposure changeds when you look at the resulting images.  Try setting the exposure time to 5 seconds and time how long the camera takes to compete a shot.

Strange...
I have no idea why, but suddenly its all working as intended. I decided to put the camera down for a few hours because I was frustrated, and now I gave it another whirl and its all working as intended, it even shows the correct value on the info screen.
Sorry to add clutter to the forum, any mods reading this can feel free to delete this thread!

And thanks for the quick reply! :)

On some cameras, overrides may fail if you press shoot quickly without holding half press and waiting for the camera to finish it's normal auto-exposure and focus.

The ixus220 builds appear to have a workaround which is supposed to fix this, but it could be wrong.
Don't forget what the H stands for.
