G15 still in beta?

Hi
I am considering purchasing a used G15, but I see that CHDK for this is still i beta.
Should I look for another camera or why is this camera in beta?

The alpha and beta labels don't imply a certain level of functionality in CHDK. A "beta" port may be more or less functional than a non "beta" port. The core CHDK developers don't own most of the supported cameras, so we depend on people who actually have the hardware in hand to tell us when to change the status.

If there are problems with this port, we can probably resolve them as long as you are willing to spend time testing.
