a busy_loop on get_exp_count() runs, and then shoot_full_only is released. no checking of get_shooting() is done.
If I have preset, or am automagically setting, my exposure parameters, can I use "shoot_full_only" on its own (i.e. without "shoot_half") as a faster method than "shoot_full"?
You can always experiment and see what works best for you. That's one of the nice parts about scripting once you have chdkptp working for rapid edit & test cycles.
Let's face it, in the context of setting up and lighting the subject, rigging the tripod, taking the shots, transferring the shots to the computer, running HDR on the right file set(s), and then running combineZP on the right file sets, saving a few seconds on the shooting time is not a big deal.

Agreed. Unless your subject moves. Or the lighting changes.I'm effectively doing studio still life photography, so I'll get away with it. If I tried to use the same script for (e.g.) landscape, speed of shooting would become much more important. BugBear
