How to select the revision number from the firmware-file

Hello everyone,
How can I extract the revision number from the firmware-file in an easy way?
I was looking for the rev. 101a for the EOS M3 but found a  1.0.1.
So, I would like to check if it is really 101a before I start the downgrade.
Thank you in advance.
BR, Wianki

You got already the answer in the DSLR forum. The Exif tag 'FirmwareRevision' has the necessary information. 1.01 rev 1.00 means 1.01a, 1.01 rev 2.00 => 1.01b, 1.01 rev 3.00 => 1.01c ...

Please stay a little bit patient. ;)

Hello msl,
Many thanks!
A newbie can ask stupid questions, can’t it?
BTW,  yes,  I’m  looking forward to testing the CHDK :-)
