Focus stacking with EOS M3 & tele & infinite microscope lens

Hello everybody,

Does anybody have a script for the focus stacking?

The following features are expected:
- Setting of the start point
- Setting of the end point
- Entering of the step-size in mm (focusing by AF)
- Detecting of the temperature (  stacks till 1000 photos )
- Detecting and comparing of the parameters of the exposure
It is important if many flashes are used and one of them does not fire because it is not loaded completely (empty battery)
If this case the photo has to be taken again (or session stopped and alarm raised)
The calculation of the DOF is not necessary because it depends on the aperture of the infinite microscope lens.

Thank you in advance.
BR, Wianki

It should be noted that the EOS M3 port is incomplete, and in particular many of the lens and focus related features are unlikely to work.

EOS M3 is the first CHDK port for an interchangeable lens camera, and it appears lens related features aren't handled the same way in the Canon firmware as they are for fixed lens cameras. At this point, it is not clear what can be supported.

Hello reyalp,
OK, I would specify the request and limit the teles to the EF 70-200L.
It can be used as a tube-lens for the most NIKON CFI microscope lenses.

Just to be clear: The EOS M3 port is in development. It is likely that the features required to script control of focus do not work, and it is unclear whether they will ever be made to work.

All CHDK development is done by volunteers in their spare time. There is no schedule for when or if any given project will be completed.
