Hello

I just got my hands on this camera, firmware version 1.00c. I want to help testing it but I never did this before. Should I just go through http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/Testing and report the results here?

How many successful tests are needed for the release to be "upgraded" to beta version?

Thank you for working on this camera

Just ignore alpha or beta status, that is irrelevant.
You do not need to do some special testing, just use the camera and report if you encounter a bug or if you experience sudden camera crashes.

I noticed a few minor problems on the Enhanced Photo Operations menu:

- Override Subj. Dist. changes its value at random times when navigating the different items on the menu. It's random in the sense that sometimes changes, sometimes not. But it only changes when I push a button.
- When selecting long exposure, the flash lever is used to navigate between hs, min and sec. This is OK. But when navigating right, the camera also zooms out. This doesn't happen when navigating left (ie. zooming in).
- If an ISO speed less than the camera minimum (100) is selected, it uses ISO 200 instead of 100.

I'll post again if I notice any other problem.

Update:

When lowering the distance to subject, the number jumps sometimes. For example, when decreasing and reaching 0, 88 appears, then 0 again. Or when increasing it, 10 11 12 102 12 13 etc. These are frequent numbers, but not the only ones with the problem.
Also, sometimes when decreasing the value, it instantly jumps to zero from whatever number I am at the moment.

Anyway, the manual distance is disabled when I press the ALT button. If I press it again, it's shown again as enabled. So apparently it would only work in script mode. I haven't tried any script yet, so I really don't know.

Regards

If you use zoom lever to adjust subject distance you must be in <ALT> mode.
I cannot see any problems with ISO settings. When you select the ISO below 100, camera can not display that value and you may see the value that would be selected by the camera. If you look at the image in playback mode, you will see that your ISO settings are applied.
Zoom lever has two speeds.Only a slow speed is masked in <ALT> mode. That's why the camera zoomes if you move the zoom lever to the end. I'll try to fix it the next few days.
Here is the user manual.

Thanks for the report.
