By (happy) coincidence i found chdk  :D and i want to use it with my A495 cam on my quadrocopter. Until now i used intervall function of my ricoh for aerial photography, but chdk seems too be much better.

How can i realize the functionality to trigger the cam using my TX? Is there a tutorial? I found some info including an arduino board, and other info which seemed to work WITHOUT Arduino (which i would prefer). Can somebody help please?

PS: i got an BT-Module laying around, this one:

Using CHDK,  you can trigger your camera using it's USB port.  With CHDK running and the CHDK USB Remote functionality enabled. simply have your TX supply +5V to the USB ports power +5V power pin.  That will trigger a shot.

There are a lot of tutorials.   :blink:  Some of them are accurate but many are not. Be aware that many are done by people with very little knowledge looking to create a quick Youtube video.

With CHDK script you can get more sophisticated.  Like this :  KAP UAV Exposure Control Script

Meanwhile i found some answers, mostly in the ardupilot tutorials.

But one big question i cannot solve: HOW TO INSTALL scripts?
I cant copy any script to any scripts directory cause i dont see them in windows ( i see only the chdk-system, a *.bin-file and some other). Within the camera, i see all directories but there i cant copy any scripts to the cam.

How to access the scripts-dir using windows?

How did you setup your SD card?  Did you use STICK as I suggested?  Are you able to get CHDK to load and open the CHDK menus?

If your SD card is properly setup, the CHDK script folder path will be A/CHDK/SCRIPTS (i.e. the scripts folder is a sub-folder to the CHDK folder).

Solved. Needed to use WASP to switch partitions around.

If you use an SD card that is 4G (or less) in size, you won't need to swap partitions as it will work with just one.
