Would really love to have CHDK on my camera, unfortunately I don't have the skills to make a port. There hasn't been anyone talking about it since last year, so I figured I would ask, maybe someone had done something since.

Unfortunately, I don't think anyone is currently working on this camera. Generally, if someone were, there would be a porting thread in the development forum and a mention on the cameras wiki page.

Sorry to bump, but I am a bit shocked. The SX610HS is one of the more popular Canon superzooms, and really lacks in manual control that CHDK could provide. But I understand that the lower consumer cameras aren't always a first priority.

I'd be very happy if somebody ported CHDK to it, but I have no way to contribute and I understand that a lot of work goes into a port.

FWIW, there really is no priority system. What gets ported is pretty much a function of someone volunteering to do the port. Which usually means they own the camera and want to use CHDK on it.

What version of the firmware has your camera?

I don't have it with me, it's my moms camera. Maybe I'll do a vers.req at some point. Are you trying to see if it has a different FW version than the dumps we already have?

Yes, because it is available only 100a firmware dump.

^Out of curiosity, how do you do a FW dump? (Even if you tell me, I won't be able to find out for a while though.)

anyone here who can point me in the right direction..

i got my sd card set up, and made a firmware dump..

what are the next steps? ???
