Admin asks: Do you have suggestions to improve the CHDK Forum's site?

Hi,

You guys probably know that I'm not the most snappy at fixing and optimising the chdk.setepontos.com experience, but even though having that in consideration, I would like to have your input specifically on how to improve the site's experience in the future.

I have to say that the thing that most strikes me as absent is structurally well defined CHDK download information on the main page, but I don't know if it should be made available here or not (and in what fashion).

The generic info pages/threads are something I also think needs a cleanup and should also take a bigger part of the site's main page.

Cheers

Thanks for what you do. I think I can speak for most people that "snappy at fixing.." is a minor thing compared to the overall value of what you provide.

That is a bit tricky.  Having download info available is maybe the easiest part of installing CHDK for the first time.  This somewhat maligned wiki page :  Prepare your SD card
give you some idea of the problem.  However, the info box at the top about using STICK probably gives the best advice.

I'd suggest also taking a look at some of the "sticky" threads that are old enough now that they may have little value being sticky?

Thanks for the reply and the insight.

Regarding the sticky threads, I would gladly unstick those but I actually would need some help identifying those.

I hope my formatting makes sense.  The rest of the stuff seemed to make sense but you might want to wait a bit for anyone else to comment?

Ok, I've done all what you suggested, except for this - I think it is a useful introduction to the board:
