How to enable rec mode when usb connected?
Try changing CAM_USB_EVENTID to 0x302 (From the physw_bits.txt dump, I have the impression that this has changed). It is defined in platform_camera.h.

Just curious, how close is this to being usable?  Our school has a high altitude balloon project with two donated elph180 cameras but unfortunately they do not do time lapse/interval shooting.  So our hopes are pinned on this effort.  Launch window is 12-13 May 2017.

I saw that the elph160 development is finished and I would be willing to trade a elph180 for a elph160 if anyone is willing.

@srsa_4c Thank you. it's work again. :D sorry for my fool i never saw physw_bits.txt before. Every thing look like very complicate now. No impression 8)

@wildbi111 kap.lua not fully test.  time lapse/interval shooting is worked but another feature like custom iso not test. Display can't turnoff while script running. On your own risk, after more test on kap.lua i will share it here.

Thank.

The sigfinder (finsig_dryos) can produce this file, but it does not do that by default. It can be enabled by uncommenting the respective #define at the top of tools/finsig_dryos.c . You probably won't need this though.

These functions have been effectively removed from the firmware. That makes the set_backlight script command ineffective. The display can probably still be switched off/on with the set_lcd_display script command.

Oh yes!!! thank srsa_4c for obsolete set_blacklight.

Not much time to make a progress.
I try to fullfill code_get.txt by ixus160 reference port. In filewrite.c may be have some mistake.  CHDKPTP can't remote shoot. It crash my ixus175 immediately.

I can take a RAW with 29MB file size but it's only save RAW by quick press shootfull and not save RAW by shoothalf+shootfull. Is it normal.

And try to turnoff LCD display by set_lcd_display. It's just turnoff LCD until next capture.
Regards.

This is normal if review is enabled in the canon firmware.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

Hi tsamma - So how are things going with your elph180 porting?  Just hoping that you will soon have something working.
