But there is still this comment.
I' can't to turn off LCD with set_lcd_display even though review off.
Great. I missed that.

@tsamma

If set_lcd_display really isn't working, you could try overriding TurnOffDisplay and TurnOnDisplay by putting the following in stubs_entry_2.S and doing a build that re-generates stubs_entry.S:
Code: [Select]
NHSTUB(TurnOnDisplay, 0xff859ef0) // "DispSwCon_TurnOnDisplay"
NHSTUB(TurnOffDisplay, 0xff85a8b4) // "DispSwCon_TurnOffDisplay"

These fw functions are somewhat different, maybe they will be effective.

@srsa_4c Try to overriding TurnOffDisplay and TurnOndisplay with DispSwCon_TurnOnDisplay and DispSwCon_TurnOffDisplay not effective.

I'm wasted a bit of my Assembly knowledge but unable to figure out. Are there any CHDK Assembly tutorial? ???

@tsamma - We launched our high altitude balloon this past Saturday.  In the payload container were two Canon ELPH180 cameras running CHDK and a script modified to take a picture every one minute.  The 4 and 1/2 hour flight and recovery was a complete success.  The cameras worked for 2 hours and 20 minutes.  Attached are two pictures from the side camera.  The very 1st image after getting airborne and the last image.  I hope you can view them.

Thanks for your assistance!

Oh, and the balloon made it up to 101,850 feet or 30,739 meters!

I think this a perfect example of why CHDK exists.   Didn't someone else try it in a balloon or rocket a couple of years ago? Thanks for posting pics and if you get to write it up somewhere in a blog or magazine I'd like to read it! :)

@wildbi111 Great done. How do you feel when it in the air? I'm sorry for unable to turn off LCD and another mulfunction. You lose a half part of travel. Some experienced on aerial photography it's maybe better and easier to use kap.lua set ISO:200-400 tv:1/800-1/1600 focus:infinity. CHDK run well on P mode only.

Thank to all these expert: blackhole, sasr_4c, reyalp, waterwing and et al.

@tsamma, I am testing your build on ixus180.  All the basic script tests pass.  Camera takes pictures and saves to SD card.  I did not test RAW.  I can post those log files if useful.  Llibtst.lua, setmode.lua, ubtest.bas, hooktest.lua, isobase.lua all PASS.

I also tested chdkptp, but it has trouble.  I will post details of the failure shortly, maybe it helps.

I'd like to try to help.  I'm not afraid to brick my ixus180.  Store with more cameras is close by.

I also have ixus160 cameras that work with CHDK and chdkptp, but 160 are harder to get anymore.  So I am also interested to see the 180 work well with chdkptp.

May I ask to try your source code?  Is there anything specific you want me to test?

Thanks
