i'll take it easy, sounds way too complicated for me, or maybe it's because i'm coding since 9 am and i'm quite tired lol
howeaver, the whole gui_draw_splash() seems to be interesting, maybe the key is there

edit (not again...): i saw your edit right now, that's the key! (short question: why lua ignore "\b" escape sequence? i mean, if i write string="C\bD" string should contain "D", but it came with "C" then a weird character and then "D" :o )
