I download and ran the latest version.  Worked really well but strangely it started on the third or fourth tab, skipping the introduction and license agreements.  There does not seem to be a way to reset or go back?
Did you change anything in Settings.settings or in app.config?

Sure, you could edit Properties\Resources.fr.resx
OK I will start doing this.

I confirm this is the way I also ran it. I did not pay attention to this but introduction and licences seem to be skipped

It would be great if menu on the left could be used to navigate in different steps  :-X

Should be fixed now.

Although that was the initial plan, making it work isn't as easy as it may appear. Let's just say that the Go back button gets disabled for a good reason.

I understand that should not be easy. The tool is already effective as is ....and leave some room for later improvement ;-)

Testing other settings to start translation i have 2 questions for some "values"
The card door must be open in order for {0} to load
I'm not sure to understand when this occurs: should i understand the card must be locked in order for 0 to load ? (actually I don't understand what is the card door, and why it should be open ?

testing the autoboot settings I also noticed this message
The card must be locked in order for to load
probably one variable is missing ?

This applies to microSD cameras (PowerShot N and PowerShot N Facebook). Since there is no lock switch, the autoboot must be triggered by leaving the card compartment open.

{0} should be where the product name goes.

Thanks this clarifies

Sorry for confusion here: I meant that while testing the product names was missing. so I guess the value was empty. although teh card was having an SDM build on it.

Hi Dmitrys,
Here are translation proposals.
I hope  I did not change some other datas. Note that I've kept some accent. Please revert if they need to be taken out.

Hi Dmitrys,
Here are translation proposals.
Thanks. I'm attaching an alpha build so you can see what it looks like.

I'm not sure what you mean. I did notice that there are some English strings left (e.g. Intro_Message_Text).

Thanks.
Now all the initial steps were active. that's probably the french touch ;-)
I'm again impressed with this program...especially when I remember my first attempt to install chdk some years ago, before stick exists !
Note that the card screen did not update/refresh after inserting the card. the cause may be my reader that sometimes is getting old ?
I did not find how to switch language so I'm wondering about the message switch to english. Do you mean there that the local language is to be set after hack is started, with the menu ?
with this idea, I've changed the "Summary_SwitchLanguage_2_Text" into a translation of something like "change the language in the software menu after installation"

oups I probably missed a couple of them.
here is update.

A couple remarks:
  • The list of hacks is subject to change (e.g. I'm awaiting 400plus changes to add support)
  • The upper/lowercase seems inconsistent (e.g. Détection logiciel vs Détection Carte); I believe all titles (e.g. "utiliser un lecteur de carte") should start with uppercase
  • Does "synthèse" properly convey the meaning of the Summary step title? If it does, I believe it should start with uppercase as well
I updated Resources.fr.resx to properly link to intro_tips_fr.txt. I also took the liberty of reversing the language tip change (I understand just enough French to deduce that it's no longer a translation :) ).

Edit: Having re-read your post, I should clarify the language tip. In recent CHDK versions the CHDK menu language can be switched to the camera language by pressing the shutter button in the ALT mode (previous versions only supported English, German and Russian, and didn't work on newer cameras).

Please use the latest version from GitHub.

Thanks!
