Hi folks,
A dust particle has landed on the sensor of my current ELPH, and I am thinking about upgrading finally not to mirrorless (too big, too heavy) but to perhaps the Canon ELPH 360.
Is there any plan to get CHDK working on this new camera?
Thanks.

Sorry - no news.  Obligatory link > CHDK FAQ : My camera isn't ported yet

As you don't seem to care about the camera anymore anyways, did you consider a partial disassembly such that you can blow the dust mite away?

I began the attempt but it's very compactly constructed. I couldn't get it open very far.

I'm told the repair if I pay for it will be $50-$100.

Tough call. We live in a disposable society.  It costs $200 to fix the front glass on an obsolete two year old Android mobile phone that originally cost $500.  Sort of forces you to just buy the newer model. Sigh.
