Hi guys, I'm new to CHDK and I'm trying to get it to work on my SD630, I've spent hours looking at the FAQs and tried numerous Allbest builds and even tried Fingalo's build. What happens is I put all the necessary files onto my SD card (DISKBOOT, PS.FIR, ENGLISH.LNG) and then I go to Firmware Update, at this point the screen goes blank and the orange light on the front of the camera goes on. When this happens none of the buttons are functional and the only way to stop it is by taking out the battery. I've even tried to wait through the orange light, I've had it on for at least 10 minutes and it still did not load the splash screen. Then I tried the ver.req file to see what firmware I have and I get this strange one that looks nothing like 1.00a, instead it says Firmware Ver B1.1.
If anyone has any insight on this problem, please help me out!. Thanks!
