RAW files with .CRW or .CR2 extensions do not work for me in any application (ufraw, raw therapee, adobe lite, etc) what can be happening? What should I do to make raw files readable by these applications? .DNG files if read by such applications
DNG must be checked as shown in the image in order for the CRW format image to be readable as RAW. Uncheck the DNG file extension.

What should I do to make raw files readable by these applications? .DNG files if read by such applicationsIf DNG works, I'd strongly recommend using that. The CHDK raw is just a copy of the raw buffer with no meta data, not the actual Canon CRW or CR2 format. This means that to support CHDK raw, applications need to be updated for every different sensor, and also need to be able to correctly guess which is correct for a file. Most applications don't do this for every CHDK camera.

Uncheck the DNG file extension.Just to be clear, none of the extension options in CHDK have any effect on the content of the files. The files are DNG format if DNG is enabled, or frame buffer dump if not.The extension may affect behavior of software opening the files or transferring them from the camera or card.
Thank you so much. Do you know how to do .DNG files can be seen by the pc when I connect the camera via USB? and not have to remove the SD Card. Thank you
