Hi,When I activate this script (using the alt button), the "<alt>shortcuts" menu pops up. It doesn't stop me from shooting but it does block the LCD view. I've noticed this with other scripts too. Does anyone know why this is?
The <ALT> shortcut popup menu was a feature added to CHDK a few years ago to annoy new users. It also gives a few hints on how to enable/disable some CHDK functionality using obscure key press functionality. The good news is that you can turn it off in the CHDK Settings-> Menu Settings menu. The option that says Show <ALT > Help Screen.
Also. There's an approx. 3 second lag between when I press the shutter button, and when the picture is taken. Is this normal?
If you press the shutter button while you are in <ALT> mode, the current script is started. No pictures are taken unless the script you started tries to take some. How long that takes depend on the logic programmed into the script.
