If anyone is interesting in looking into these cameras, I have written a firmware unpacker that is available here: https://github.com/protyposis/yi-mirrorless-firmware-tools


It can unpack all firmware versions of the YI M1 camera and the Fujifilm X-A10 (and possibly other Fujis, haven't looked at many others). Decompression of the compressed firmware code is currently only working for the M1 3.0-int firmware because of a few hardcoded byte ranges. More information can be found on the GitHub page.
