Can't use CRW files

That seems odd, AFAIK 64 seconds or less works on pretty much every camera. Obviously, if there was much light in those 43 seconds it could get over exposed, if it was outside at night I wouldn't expect it to be completely white.

Are you looking at the Canon jpeg exif, or CHDK DNG? exif can be wrong when CHDK overrides are used but 1/0 is strange.

What did the images look like?

What software are you checking the exif with? I use exiftool when I need full details.

In your screenshot, you have disable overrides set to yes. This would prevent the override from being used at all if it was set when you were shooting.

In yesterday's test with 1.5, they looked like normal photos with automatic exposure.
And that's to be expected since they did not expose for the 17 or 34 seconds that  I specified, they seemed to expose for ~1 second.

OS/X lets you view the exif of DNGs and JPGs.

I just tried with 1.4.1 and long exposure is not working with it either.

UPDATE
OK, I got long exposure working with 1.4.1.
The issue was that the UI is a little confusing. I had "disable overrides" checked, because somehow my eyes read it as "enable overrides".
I guess I assumed the default behavior is to disable overrides.
The checkbox next to the long exposure value became unchecked when I downgraded from 1.5, so once I checked that too it worked.

OK, I got long exposure working with 1.5 too.

Soon I will do some long exposure tests...

1. astronomical photos 40-second exposure
2. taking shots for HDR

Also my camera seems to know what angle it's being held at. I wonder if a level line can be displayed using that angle?

Currently, scripts are probably the best approach for this kind of thing.

The value used to decide picture orientation goes in increments of 90 degrees, so it wouldn't be usable for a level. Some higher end cameras have a separate built in electronic level.

Hey guys,

During some continued investigation of the awesome Rawopint script, I inadvertently reset the RAW settings, resulting in a spectacular Sunset sequence with the .CRW extension that I can't seem to import into DNG4PS2, no matter how many settings I fiddle with trying to create a new profile for my IXUS 160.  I figured out that my sensor is 6170 x 4550 and I know that my picture resolution is 5152 x 2896 but beyond that I'm in the dark.

I did manage to open the sequence in RawTherapee but there's no export to DNG from there, the only decent option is 16bit TIFFs which are weighing in at 170 Meg per frame.  I could cope with that in a temporary deletable step towards an HD video output but I'd like to be able to process to DNG straight from .CRW now I've installed the tool.

Any suggestions for finding out the other settings needed for a successful import?

It seems your values are wrong. I found the following values for the ixus 160 in the chdk source code:

I didn't know I could look at that source code file.  I will dial in those numbers to DNG4PS2 and see if it likes them.
