Separating bracketed images

Hi,
I've just started to experiment with bracketing but, using Ultimate Intervalometer, I'm getting sequentially named images ie. for a three bracket setting I get:

IMG_0001.JPG (first exposure)
IMG_0002.JPG (second exposure)
IMG_0003.JPG (third exposure)

I'm wondering how people separate these out for later re combination?

I just found a tutorial where a guy was using an HDR app called SNS HDR Pro, which automates the selection in it's batch process dialogue.  The app, which is PC only (good for me), costs 30 Euros ($35 USD) for the home version and 85 Euros ($100 USD)for the pro.

Being a special effects animator I'd prefer a workflow where I could combine my JPGs (for free) into a higher dynamic range format like 16 bit EXRs half float for grading in my preferred tool DaVinci Resolve.

What do others here do?

Cheers

Since the Nik Collection is free, I’m using it for HDR. But you need Adobe Photoshop, Elements or Lightroom.
https://www.google.com/nikcollection/

If you have in Camera with native RAW, you could also use Canons DPP.

In the past I used hdr luminance. It’s good but my impression was not as easy to use as the Nik Collection.

But I wouldn’t use JPG’s. I do it always in RAW…

But you need Adobe Photoshop, Elements or Lightroom.
Works also with paint.net (freeware). You need the plugin '8bf filter'. So you can use any adobe filter.

Multi platform
The recent release of hugin has integrate enfuse fully. Get it from http://hugin.sourceforge.net (open source).

Is there a CHDK guide to bracketing with the different modes.. Ev / Tv / Av etc?

Or pointer to a good tutorial on the pros and cons of each?

Thanks in advance and have a great weekend
