I think this is the first report of a 1.00G version of firmware for the SX60. The first step in getting a port for that version is the creation of a dump of your camera's ROM.    The procedure to do that can be found here :  Obtaining a firmware dump.

It is possible that the CHDK version for the SX60 1.00F will work for your camera but we will need the firmware dump from your 1.00G to confirm that.

We do not have a firmware dump for this firmware version. If you make one, someone may be able to add support for this firmware.

You can get a firmware dump using the Canon Basic dumper http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/Canon_Basic/Scripts/Dumper

When you have the dump, upload it to a file hosting site like dropbox, google drive  or similar and post the link.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

  • Download the EOSCard.exe utility from here : http://pel.hu/down/EOScard.exe
  • Use the EOSCard utility to configure an SD card as described here : Card Setup : EOSCard
  • Copy the two files attached to this post to the top level folder of your configured SD card.
  • Start the camera in Play Mode (i.e. press the Playback button on the back of the camera - not the ON/OFF button on the top of the camera) and then click the FUNC button to run the script.
  • IMPORTANT: this script attempts to display status messages on the screen but on some cameras the text message may not be visible. If the camera appears not to respond to the script, check the card. If the script ran, status will be recorded in CBDUMPER.LOG and if the dump was successful, the ROM image will be saved in PRIMARY.BIN
  • Upload the PRIMARY.BIN file to a file sharing service (box.com?) and post a download link here.

Did you try running it with "administrator" privileges ? (right click on the program's icon and select "Run as administrator")

There are also other methods of doing the same thing as EOSCard listed here : Card Setup Windows

A bit more work but should work better.

EOSCard seems to be having problems finding your SD card reader. Is there an SD card in your card reader?

I have no idea what to suggest here - there is not much support for the utility although its author will sometimes respond to PM's.

Or someone else might have a suggestion?

Can you try one of the other two methods that I linked for you?

The CHIMP utility appears to support creating a scriptable card (can't test it myself though).
Download is available here.
