I will add the fix for sx400 to the autobuilds shortly. in autobuild 4991 and later.
For my SX500IS I do not have external power yet. I will most likely have the same problem with that one too. Is there a certain file in the above set that I can take to copy to that camera or will I need a whole new set?
No, the change needs to be made in the source code for each affected camera. If you get an external adapter for sx500is and run into the same problem, let us know.
