oh, that's awesome.. all working now and I have a camera that has a usable HDMI output. thank you.

The problem was my fault. It was in the EOSCard app. I was clicking on the CHDK button assuming that was the 'enter' key . I didnt realize you had to click on the 'save' button top right (thanks for that clarification in the video). Once I did this I was up and running.

Sadly, it's a common problem may people have with EOScard.

You're welcome! I also had that issue with clicking the CHDK button instead of save as well. Really hoping canon just releases an update for the m100 to just unlock this ability. But i doubt it since they are pushing m200 sales.

Hello! I'm new here and I'm just unable to get the script to work on my EOS M6 MK1. I double checked the card and it seems to be formatted correctly, and I believe my script.req and extend.m files are correctly written in ANSI.

I think my hangup is how to turn the camera on into playback mode. I've heard that turning on the M6 regularly isn't correct and it won't run the script which makes sense since nothing changes. I'm on 1.0.1 firmware.

It has to be the card. Try low level formatting it and setting it up again.
There are circumstances when the camera's card handling routines get confused and fail to find either a file or the script flag.

If the card is set up correctly, the script can be started by a single press of the SET button while the camera is in playback mode. The script will only start once, there is no need to press the button a dozen times (like in some videos).

Well I tried it all over again and it didn't work, BUT I'm an idiot! I realized that my script.req and extend.m files were saved as .txt files. Windows was hiding the extension, so once I enabled that (dumb me didn't do that to start) and I saw that both looked like this

script.req.txt
extend.m.txt

Went in an renamed them by dropping the .txt and voila! Now everything works great! Well, I haven't tested shutoff time, but I bet tomorrow during a conference call that one will get tested out!

Re M3.

Freshman here. As I am wandering off (as normally) - where should I look for a complete download with the required script for EOS M3 to get clean overlays? I think I got the grip on the formatting requiremement - but will need something to put on the card as well...

I can report that the Basic script adapted for G15 works as is (with values from the proper stub https://app.assembla.com/spaces/chdk/subversion/source/4888/trunk/platform/g15/sub/100b/stubs_entry.S ). Thanks a lot!

Just wondering, are there any scripts to do the following on an M100 ?
1. Force video resolution to 2560 x 1440 30 fps ? Since the camera can do 1920 x 1080 60 fps, there is enough bandwidth to do this.
2. Exposure bracketing for HDR.
