I don't think so. That would need a different sensor readout which probably isn't possible and surely not implemented in firmware. Also, I doubt any models of the EOS M product line support an intermediate resolution like that.

What is the maximum Resolution on HDMI Output?
Is it for all  M's the same?

AFAIK it's 1920x1080 (almost certainly interlaced) or 1280x720p (on displays that can't do 1080i) and all known cameras are the same.

Hi there! I loaded up the M6 scripts, but the M6 can’t be powered up with the green playback button, it has to be powered by the on/off switch. How do I boot up the M6 to run the new scripts that are loaded on my SD card? Thank you for your help!

After switching on the camera, enter playback mode and press SET. If the card is correctly prepared, that should cause the script to execute. Go back to shooting mode and check whether the overlay is there. If you see no overlay, the script has successfully run.

This worked great on my M6 to remove the overlays and keep the display on.

Two questions for other users - I just got this camera, so I'm not sure what is normal...

1) When I plugin the HDMI to capture to my computer, the built-in Display turns off. Any way to keep it on as an additional monitor of the video source?
2) Does anyone know if the HDMI passes the camera audio? My brief testing shows it does not, but looking for confirmation.

I think this is the case for most Canon cameras sadly, except those that are explicitly marketed as having Clean HDMI out. I guess it’s cheaper to make since the graphics card only has to drive one output at the time. It makes the camera harder to use though, especially since these screens have touch screen functionality now.

You might be able to use the Canon CameraConnect app on your phone or tablet to have an additional monitor. Dedicated DSLR monitors also tend to have both HDMI in and out, so you can put a dedicated monitor inbetweeen the camera and your computer. Although this makes the setup more expensive and complicated.

Is there a new script to make the M100 1.1.0 firmware version compatible? I am trying the script but I can't seem to make it work on the new firmware.
