Switchable M/F USB cable, possibly useful for remote trigger

I think I may have found a easy to use switch to trigger the Remote Shutter function in CHDK.   On Amazon I found something described as
"Male to Female USB Cable with ON/OFF Switch - Easy Start/Reboot for Raspberry Pi & Arduino"
Theoretically, connecting this between the USB power output of a USB battery pack and the regular USB cable that connects to whatever camera you are using should give a power-on pulse using the built-in switch in the cable.
No soldering, monkeying with USB wires, or making/breaking the power connection is necessary with this cable.

Testing the above item:  It is designed more as a power supply cord than a quick on/off switch.   The switch is substantial & requires some force to engage and then disengage.   It does work to trigger my SD780 to take a photo after the remote opinions were configured.  I would not want to do this to copy an entire book.  My fingers would definitely hurt after a few dozen key presses.

Thanks for the report - I was pretty sure it would work fine when I googled for the search string you supplied.  Getting the right USB plug size for the cameras (usually USB mini-B 5 pin) without resorting to adapter cables is a challenge though.

And quite frankly, most of this cables do not use "momentary contact" switches so pressing once to focus and then again to release and shoot can get tiring.
