Hi,
I hope this is allowed, but I was wondering if there was some kind of bug/something that would let the camera 'crash' if the memory card is locked(when CHDK is loaded)?  I don't want random people using it.. haha.

Or could I corrupt the files that you load onto the SD card?

If DISKBOOT.BIN is corrupted (or this file is for incompatible camera model) it will lead camera to hung at startup.

A safer method is to actually create code to hang the camera, of course. An even better method would be to shut off the display and bypass the keymap so it won't respond to anything but a predefined set of keys, for example.

you could also use a grid file to display a message on screen, dataghost wrote a nifty tool to automate the process of creating such a grid: Grids - CHDK Wiki

Thanks!
Hopefully I can contribute to CHDK someday. I'm still a bit shaky on my programming skills!
