which version of CHDK to download?, C, D or F

I have SX130IS and want to try CHDK, but there are 3 different stable versions, SX130IS-101*-1..4.1.5146.full.zip.

I tried to look at FAQ, etc but no answer to my dilemma. thanks in advance.

There is only one stable version at at any given time, but it's compiled differently for each camera model and firmware version. Which means that you need to figure out what version of firmware is in your camera.

I'd suggest you take look at the first couple of sections of this wiki page : Prepare your SD card

I'd also suggest using either the STICK or CHIMP utilities linked at the top of that page to do all the difficult setup work for you.

Edit : which FAQ did you look at? Link please? There are many FAQ's out there and rhe quality and accuracy varies alot. We try to fix them up as people report problems.

thanks for the response, although one link does not seem to work (SD card...), I found the STICK and will try it today. Unfortunately I don't recall which FAQ I looked at....

thanks, STICK was able to identify which version (F, in my case), now working. Very useful.
