For me the solution was:
1. Filling the first 100MB of SD card by zeros.
2. Formatting SD card in the camera.
3. Executing EOScard.
This does not work for me. EOScard writes again on 0x05c. Maybe you have another version of EOScard.

For me, using a hex editor is the easiest way to make a sd card bootable. HxD is a portable program. Choose the right drive!
You just have to write the string BOOTDISK (uppercase!) to a specific address:
FAT32 0x1E0
That works too. But if you should not explain to a beginner ...

Do I have to understand that now?

You better ask the author of EOScard.

EOScard (v.1.4) works fine.

The wrong CHDK bootdisk address comes from the ML setting. You can change the address by clicking on the CHDK and ML images.

The wrong CHDK bootdisk address comes from the ML setting. You can change the address by clicking on the CHDK and ML images.

You're right… Thanks…

But as you can see from the first pictures, CHDK was already selected ...

The order is the problem. You first have to select CHDK and then select BOOTDISK.
If you select BOOTDISK first, then CHDK is automatically selected but with the wrong address.
