Hi,

I'm new to CHDK and have tried the AdaptiveMD script on my A620 running Allbest's newest (I think) build. I don't seem to understand the statements at UBASIC/Scripts: AdaptiveMD - CHDK Wiki

    Written for/on: S3IS
    Also works on: Needs adaptation of button presses for A-series

What adaptation? Does the code need modifying for use with A620?

When running the script on my camera, it seezes to the "Number of rectangles" line, ie. continuous mode found -statements are never printed. What's wrong?

The other MD script at UBASIC/Scripts: Multipurpose Motion Detection - CHDK Wiki
says it runs on Fingalo's build. But Fingalos site says Allbest is the way to go. Does this mean Multipurpose MD -script runs on allbest?

Looks like this script emulates several button presses in Canon's menus to change the camera mode. That's why the script is certainly S3IS specific and would likely need a number of modifications to work on any other model. Looks like it's strongly Digic II specific as well since it uses propcases a lot. I'm not sure if it uses any S3 specific propcases.

Yes, I think that one will run fine on the Allbest builds. That said, I'll point you here: http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php/topic,471.0.html. It requires a recent Allbest build and should work on pretty much any model now. You'll want the vanilla Digic II version for your A620.

Thanks for clarifying and for pointing the right direction. I read the documentation of your script and it's clearly exactly what I'm after. Let's see if I can make it work. :)
