As I've said, I still think the startup delay issues are different and unrelated to the later missing shots. However they might be caused by the same thing - large numbers of large files on the SD card.

in the former test i noticed that on the first reboot it did not have the "fault on switch to shooting mode"
(~2500 img) second day, some 5000, that started, but had not seen any dropped frames in the 4 day run.

so for this test i used the provided script, took a 64gb card and placed almost 8000 images on it to start with.

during this test every 30 seconds the camera beeps and makes a shutter sound. but on day 7 at around 21:10 i heard the beep twice, no shutter sound.
alas the card was full at day 8 with some 27.500 img

Every day the cam skipped 3 frames for reboot, on day 7 I am missing a 4th frame, somewhere after frame 2000, because that is still at the regular interval.

If needed I can repeat this with my 256GB card, because only one frame might not be considered relevant.
I'm assuming the fault is the first indication that something is wrong but it takes more than 25.000 frames before it starts dropping frames.

Since i felt it was confirmed that it only took some 5000 for the reboot to create the "fault on switch to shooting mode", but 20-25 thousand to start dropping frames.
I thought I could do the same test with the 256GB card with 15 days (>40.000 img) already on the card to start with (76GB data)...it should be enough to show the fault and start dropping frames at day2 reboot was what I was thinking.

alas it did not have the same results and has given no fault and no dropped frames in a 5 days run, settings are the same to previous runs...small difference: reboot was not set at 12, but at 2.

hereby the log.
I am missing only the 3 frames that are lost because of the reboot each day.
It did not run the 7 days where the previous test started dropping frames, but it does not mention the "fault on switch to shooting mode" at all and that should have happened at first reboot (day2) if my assumptions were correct

So, as for the next test I am a bit at a loss...I'm guessing it should run at least 7 days.
