Hello
I have an ixus 240hs I have a problem with the remoteshoot command.
Here is the screen copy
con 6> remoteshoot -quick cap -jpg
rs_init
rs_shoot
get data 1
rc file cap.jpg 1
rc chunk get cap.jpg 1 0
rc chunk size: 347131 offset: nil last: false
rc chunk get cap.jpg 1 1
WARNING: capture_get_data error General error
sending a stop message
script wait time 0.0008
ERROR: general error
If I go back to play mode, I can't go back to rec mode, the 240hs is blocked.
I need to remove the battery to unlock it
Thank you in advance for your help

Some questions:
What Canon firmware does your ixus240 have?

What shooting mode do you have the camera in? (P, Auto, some scene mode...)

Does the problem still happen if you do not include -quick? FWIW, -quick is only useful if you want to shoot more than one shot in a single command.

Thanks. It turns out problems with remoteshoot have been reported on this camera before. Unfortunately, I don't see any obvious problem in the code.

Here's a test build that might give me some more information.
If you use remoteshoot and the problem happens, it should crash and turn off the camera. If it does, please get the romlog, using the CHDK menu miscellaneous stuff->Debug Parameters->Save ROM crash log

and post the romlog.log from the SD card here.

Hello
I tried your version of chdk on my 240hs. The device turns off after the remoteshoot command. I turn on the 240 hs, when I press on debug nothing goes (touch screen).
I am blocked

disregard the previous message, I was not doing the right manipulation at the debug level.
I attach the romlog.log file

Thanks. That captured the information I wanted, it will take some time to figure out the next steps.

What image quality and size do you have set in Canon settings?
