SD800 via PC

I have an SD800is (well, actually it's the Japanese model IXY900is) and would like to know if I can shoot via USB cable from my computer, not just a push button type USB trigger.
I am hoping to be able to view what is being seen on the viewfinder on my desktop (maybe Canon CameraWindow software or similar) and shoot remotely that way.  Is this at all possible?
Thanks!  :D

According to this site PSRemote - Software Features Canon PowerShot Remote Control Program
SD800 is not supported by PSRemote (meaning by the Canon SDK, on
which it is based). This confirmed on the gPhoto site here gPhoto - Doc :: Remote controlling cameras
So I guess this is not gonna be easy ...

sorry to be the bearer of bad news,

Thank you whim.  I was not sure if there was a setting in CHDK that would allow this even though Canon doesn't officially support it.  Oh well.
