a3300 and mode dial

Having a frustrating issue running a3300 with stable CHDK (1.4.1-5414) and ultimate intervalometer 4.8. When the camera boots into CHDK, it seems to ignore the position of the mode dial! I want to shoot a timelapse in 'P' (program) mode to force white balance, etc, but the camera is defaulting to Auto mode when CHDK loads (and whenever I hit <ALT> key) regardless of dial position.

Disclaimer: I haven't touched CHDK in several years, was running it on an a1100 which had much different behavior - did not boot up into review/play mode (which apparently is normal for newer models like a3300). The odds are high that I set something wrong, but there doesn't seem to be a CHDK setting that corresponds to mode dial?

Thanks for reporting. The keymask used in this port incorrectly included bits used by the mode dial. An 8-year-old bug that no-one seemed to notice.
I checked in a fix, builds 5456 and later should be free of this issue. Check the autobuild in a few hours.
In case you find other problems, please report them.

Thanks! That seems to have fixed it (in 1.4.1-5457).
