Forgive me if this is stupid or has been discussed before.


The CHDK BICM function is a really powerful feature, as long as the camera has a custom timer feature.


Unfortunately, some of the ‘better’ cameras, eg the M3, don’t have a custom timer.


Yes you could hold the shutter down, I guess, but you give up control.


Unless there is another way to achieve a quasi BICM functionality, I wonder if it would be possible for a developer, ie not me, to add a feature in the BICM menu to take x images, triggered by one shutter press, ie simulating a custom timer that the BICM code could use.


Just a thought.

Or you could just use a script to do that?

Yes, I’ve got it covered in my bracketing scripts, I just thought it might be a worthwhile ‘enhancement’ in BICM.
