Hello everyone,
I just wanted to drop a quick note of introduction. I'm a photographer from Sacramento, California.
@ahull just referred me to this forum from a watch repair forum we're both active on. I'm very interested in purchasing two inexpensive Canon P&Ss, installing CHDK on them, and syncing them for inexpensive digital stereo photography. I'll be researching the best model and accessories that will suit my purposes, but certainly wouldn't object to any suggestions.
Regarding photography: I'm mostly an analog guy. I've done a lot of large format, medium format, and 35mm photography over the years. I'm about 2/3 of the way through a photography degree, which has been a fun passion project of mine for the past few years. Right now, I mostly shoot 35mm and medium format film using old Minolta gear and toy/box cameras. I really enjoy special effects film, analog special effects, and alternative process printing using digital negatives from scanned film. I love cyanotypes, and have been working on achieving some level of competence in gum dichromate. (Talk about a finicky process!) For the past couple of years, I've really enjoyed "lumen" photography -- which involves very long exposure contact prints on expired color paper.
My portfolio is online at

All the best,
Dan
