Help, my camera is stuck in factory mode!

I ran a LUA script calling the SetFactoryMode (as described in https://chdk.fandom.com/wiki/Event_Procedure#FA.Create) on my Canon PowerShot ELPH 160.  However, it did more then turn the LCD off.
When I turn it on (using the power or playback buttons), the green LED turns on and remains on until I disconnect the battery, unless a bootable SD card is inserted and locked, in which case the green LED turns on briefly and then turns off.  The buttons don't respond (pressing the shutter doesn't extend the lens) and I have tried inserting an SD card with CHDK set to auto-run a script calling ClearFactoryMode with no success.
Any suggestions or have I just bricked a $100 camera?

You most likely have not bricked it, ClearFactoryMode should work. When I did this with my a540 (https://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php?topic=4417.20) IIRC, I made a diskboot that called the function directly rather than calling it from Lua. It's conceivable that that something about factory mode prevents CHDK from booting fully or running the autostart script.

I'll post a build to try shortly.

@RegisteredUser Here's a build that calls ClearFactoryMode at the point spytask would normally start, with task hooks disabled, plus source patch for anyone interested.

That worked, thanks!  I was trying to modify CHDK in the manner you described but couldn't figure out how to make a native call using C code.
