EOS M3 disable auto LCD off when in live view mode?

Hi everyone, I am new to the forum.  I have searched but can't see anything, so apologies if this is already out there...

I am looking for a script to get the Canon EOS M3 to keep the power and display on permanently when in live view mode (ie. waiting to take a picture) please?  I know this is available within CHDK but I would prefer to have a simple script if possible instead of doing the full install.

Any ideas gratefully received.  Thanks, Steve.

Hi, the cam is running a newer version of firmware (1.21A) that doesn’t appear to be supported by CHDK, also I don’t want any other features except this one.  That is why I thought a script could be a better option?

You could Downgrade to the older Firmware...

If you choose the script way, the one in this post should work on your camera too.
