hi can i use a hub to fire 3 cameras i searched the forum but didn't find answer  thanks

If you mean using the USB remote (https://chdk.fandom.com/wiki/USB_Remote), switching the power on a powered hub that's not connected to a computer should be fine.

If the hub were also connected to a computer, that would power the ports regardless of the external power.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

yes the hub will be fed from a usb power bank 5v
so that way i can just put the switch in between the hub and the power supply saves cutting up so many usb cables and that way i can use different length cables for each camera if need.

The caveat here is the design of the USB hub.  Once you cut power to the hub, any internal capacitance on the +5V line will need to self discharge.  If that does not happen quickly, the slow ramp down of the +5V could cause the three (or more) cameras to actually trigger at slightly different times.  You'll have to test and see if that slight variation is critical to your application or not.
