Does anyone know if there is a way, from a Lua script, to control the Canon GUI state, eg cycle through the INFO options, and get the GUI state from within Lua, ie so you know where you are?

On M10, there is a UI property that reflects that state (the current INFO state, nothing else). It's UIprop 106 on M10, probably around that somewhere on M3.

Unlike many other UIprops, setting this one to some of its valid values crashes the camera. So, it's only usable for getting that state info.
