In this thread, I'm interested in knowing specifically whether
1) Whether switching to rec from the black screen state triggered by con:ptp_get_object_handles() works
2) Any new misbehavior which appears to be associated with the black screen unlock in #1.

It's unhelpful to have other random bugs posted here without any indication of whether you believe they are associated with this change, and if so, why.

romlogs with no context or clear steps to reproduce are of very little value. I generally do not look at them.
