Hello, my name is Luke and I'm new here on the forum! I bought a G7x 1 camera a few days ago and I'm having trouble running the CHDK. I installed it on the memory card, but when I turn on the camera I don't know how to make it work. I can't find the CHDK menu in camera. Can you help me?

Do you see the CHDK logo when you start the camera?

If not, CHDK isn't correctly installed or your card hasn't been made bootable. See https://chdk.fandom.com/wiki/Prepare_your_SD_card

If so, press the playback button enter "alt" mode and access the CHDK menu with the menu key. See https://chdk.fandom.com/wiki/CHDK_1.5_User_Manual

Don't forget what the H stands for.

Thanks. The CHDK worked on my camera. But what I wanted most did not work. My G7x 1 camera records only 30 minutes of video. I wish I could record more ... Do you know any way?

I just tried Continuous Video Scripts but it didn't work. The message appeared saying that it only works on version CHDK 1.3 and I am using version 1.5 do you know how I can make it work?

If you are using the script from https://chdk.fandom.com/wiki/Continuous_Video_Scripts the message should just mean that CHDK is assuming the script is for 1.3 because it doesn't have a version statement, not that it won't work.

I'm going to do a test by letting my camera record for more than 29 minutes. Thank you very much.
