Corded versus cordless vacuum cleaners

In the fast-paced life, vacuum cleaners are becoming indispensable devices for modern families. There are many Best vacuum cleaner brands on the market, some have cords, some do not. The following will distinguish the corded versus cordless vacuum cleaners so that you will have an overall idea of each.

Corded and cordless vacuums – What are they?

Corded vacuums work only if there is an electricity source to plug the power cord in. They are less convenient in terms of the mobility, but powerful in generating constant suction. The upright or canister vacuums are examples of corded vacuum cleaners that work if you plug the cord into the mains unit.

Cordless vacuums are operated without a cord, thus they have to rely on the batteries. This is the reason why battery life is an important factor when you are considering buying one. Handheld or robot vacuum cleaners often come to mind if you mention  cordless devices that work only if the batteries do not run out of juice.

Nowadays, good vacuum brands offer many different models of corded and cordless vacuum cleaners on the market. Thing is, which one is better?

Corded versus cordless vacuum cleaners – Comparison

Similarities:

  • Both can be used to clean hard surfaces, carpets, and to pick-up pet hair.
  • Affordable price.
  • Great solutions to save your time.
  • Easy to use.
  • Easy to carry and store.

Differences:

  • Suction power: A cordless vacuum generates suction power by empowering battery, while a corded vacuum generates suction power by plugging itself into the mains outlet, so the corded vacuum will be more powerful.
  • Size: Corded vacuum cleaners are often two times larger than cordless vacuum cleaners.
  • Weight: In comparison, corded vacuum cleaners are heavier than the cordless ones. Thus, if you are looking for an “easy-to-carry” option, a cord-free cleaning device will suit you best.
  • Portability: If you are keen on a portable option, a cordless vacuum is recommended for you.
  • Dust capacity: The dust capacity of a cordless vacuum cleaner is smaller; which is about 0.3-1 lit, while that of a corded vacuum cleaner is about 2-3 litres.
  • Battery life: Unlike corded vacuum cleaners, when considering to buy a cordless vacuum cleaner, you should compare the battery life between different vacuum models.
  • Budget: Canister and upright vacuums are great examples of the corded vacuums. They are more expensive than the cordless appliances like the handheld and stick models. However, some corded hand vacuums are cheaper than cord-free vacuum although they generate better or same performance.
  • Safety: Cordless vacuums are safer for users. Treading on a power cord and getting injured will never be the problem when using a cordless vacuum cleaner.

Which one is better?

Some cordless vacuums provide benefits that a corded vacuum will not have, and vice versa. If your cleaning area is small in size, a cordless vacuum cleaner is an appropriate option. For larger cleaning areas, rather use a corded vacuum to maximise cleaning performance.

Hi everyone,
Anyone know how to trigger remote shoot using multicam.lua? I see a function `shoot` but there doesn't seem to be one for remote shoot.
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks in advance!!!  :D :D :D
Multicam does not support remote shoot. Sorry.

There are two reasons for this:
1) All camera access in multicam is actually sequential, due to fundamental limits in the way USB access is implemented in chdkptp. So remoteshoot in with multicam would mean  downloading each image in turn, at the speed of a single camera. With more than few cameras, there would be little performance benefit relative to shooting and then downloading.
2) It would be complicated to implement.
Don't forget what the H stands for.
