Hey all, I'm very new here. I just recently got a Canon powershot g7x mark 2, and I noticed it wasn't a clean HDMI out and the automatic power off was annoying, fast forward I successfully have CHDK on the camera. Immediately after the "firmware" update, I can hit the ALT button (Wifi button) and low and behold there is the alt menu. I was very happy. Thing is, if I turn the camera "on" or simply turn the playback screen off....chdk isnt there anymore? all settings and all, hitting the wifi button sends me to the wifi menu, I have to redo the chdk firmware update on the playback screen to get it back. How to keep chdk on there?

CHDK makes no modifications to your camera. As you noted, it goes away each time you turn the camera off.   If you want to have CHDK load automatically each time you start the camera then you need to prepare your SD card specially. It's called the "Bootable SD Card Method".
