Has anyone successfully managed to get this to work? I thought this looked promising chdk motion detect plus
I'm keen to know whether I'm wasting my time trying. The problem is I am sight impared and would find  motion detect very helpful for my wildlife photography

Tried script on Sx270; trapped in shooting loop in :P @ Exposure >=1 sec.
++ added bookscanner trick to avoid that.  :) Set g=grid >2 to use.

It works for me with SX60HS FW 1.00b and CHDK 1.6.0.
I did not try the sable (1.5.0) release.
