Manual load on A720

I do not see the "Firm Update" menu entry on my A720 when it is started with the SD card lock off. Automatic load does work. Is this normal? If so is it documented anywhere?

That's normal on DryOs cams, they don't support manual load (see also: user guide in my sig under post)

Do you have a link to the Wikia where you found this info ?
Might well be that it's being worked on, but I'm pretty sure it isn't done...
Consider this: the bleeding edge trunk release here: CHDK Download - build 51, revision #404
for A720IS presents a zip which only contains DISKBOOT.BIN.
In order for manual load to function you need a 'PS.FIR', or for DryOs cams a 'PS.FI2'
You could try putting a dummy PS.FI2 on your card, that should at least show you the option for
firmware upgrade.
