Check is Camera in Shutter Speed or ISO state

@reyalp  or @anyone

On the M3 the up button toggles between shutter speed adjustment and ISO.

I need to detect the state the cam is in, ie shuuter speed or ISO, but I can't work out how to do it.

Any ideas?

I thought a propcase may do it, but can't find one.

Cheers

Garry

Maybe it´s related to the modes M, P, Tv... ?  ???

I don't think so as I can change it my hand within mode ;-)

No good. I’m in a script and using wheel right or left and need to know if I’m adjusting shutter speed or ISO.

I think what caefix may be been suggesting is move the wheel one click (from script) and see which changes (from propcases). You could then do one click in the opposite direction to undo the change. Have to be make sure it's not already at a limit though, or detect when nothing changes.

If it's not in a propcase (which I definitely wouldn't expect it to be), any other options for detecting that state likely require reverse engineering.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

I had thought of doing that and now will ;-)

Thanks to both of you.
