Canon 2000D wifi

Hi my firm bought a Canon 2000D.

We need to take pictures that are transferred in the background over wifi.
The current state is that the camera will either send pictures to a cloud service or take pictures. Not at the same time.
Is this a possibility with Chdk?

Kind regards
Guy

No. There is no CHDK port for EOS 2000D or any other models based on the Canon DSLR family firmware, and almost certainly never will be. We support a few EOS M cameras, but only because those are actually based on the powershot firmware.

Magic Lantern (https://www.magiclantern.fm/) would be a better starting point,  but I don't know if there has been any specific work on that camera or wifi functionality.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

The question was already asked there: https://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=26849.msg242965;topicseen#msg242965

If ML existed on the 2000D you very likely could transfer images from card to an arbitrary server using wifi.  Some Canons have menu support for configuring an FTP server for image upload, this will be in the manual if it exists for the 2000D.  E.g., R5: https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/index?page=content&id=ART178185

I am doubtful they put this feature in 2000D.

Here's why I'm confident you can wifi transfer images: https://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=26850

That said, there's no ML for 2000D yet, so, that obstacle needs to be removed first.
