G7X II - downgrading from recent 1.2.0 firmware (May 2023 release)

As the title says, I recently upgraded my G7X II firmware (official Canon download link is here) but wanted to try out CHDK for the purposes of streaming (latest version/branch allows clean HDMI output). Unfortunately I cannot see any way of forcing a firmware downgrade on the camera; the 'battery door' trick does not work with this model. Even if I use STICK to reference a photo from before the 1.2.0 upgrade and use a bootable SD card with the 'latest' CHDK fbuild for the prior 1.1.0 firmware, it will not boot.

Looking for any option that would either allow me to downgrade to 1.1.0 and use that as a CHDK springboard, or otherwise try and figure out how to get CHDK to work with the lastest 1.2.0 build. http://Screenshot of STICK based on the 1.2.0 firmware is here. Thanks!

If you can make a firmware dump, we can probably add support for the 120a firmware. Use the "Improved Dumper" from https://chdk.fandom.com/wiki/Canon_Basic/Scripts/Dumper and upload the dump to a file sharing site box.com, google drive etc.

Version 1.20a requires a new CHDK version. I have it booting on my camera; but it will take a little while to complete.

I have added 1.20a to the auto build (ALPHA for now).

It should be available to download and test shortly.

Thanks for rapidly assisting with this! I last used CHDK late 2000's and only remembered it as I was upgrading the G7X firmware, so pretty cool to still see it actively supported/celebrated here!
